Forward Focus Veterinary Physiotherapy is owned and run by Alison Pearce, an animal musculoskeletal therapist offering a mobile service in Somerset. Alison is trained in Veterinary Physiotherapy and Clinical Canine Massage, providing hands-on complementary therapy that can be used alongside conventional veterinary medicine to treat many orthopaedic and neurological conditions, for rehabilitation, wellbeing and athletic performance.

Alison is qualified to Level 7 (MSc or Masters level), and a full member of both the National Association of Veterinary Physiotherapists and the Canine Massage Guild, giving you the reassurance that she works to the highest professional standard. In accordance with UK law, veterinary consent is always required before treatment of an animal.

In addition to her mobile practice, Alison has several years' experience in a large referral hospital, giving her an in-depth understanding of a wide range of conditions and injuries, and enabling her to support dogs and cats at all stages from diagnosis to living with a long-term condition. Alison is also experienced with sports dogs across difference disciplines, but has a particular interest in agility, treating many highly competitive dogs including Crufts and Olympia winners and team GB agility squad members.

​An initial consultation involves a full assessment of your dog or cat, which is then considered together with their medical history and current fitness level. Each animal’s treatment plan is formulated for them as an individual, focusing on their specific needs, including:
